Chaparral captures the softened heat of the Los Angeles hills — aromatic, green, and quietly floral. Inspired by the dry slopes of Southern California, it reflects the moment when sun has settled into the leaves and the air turns warm, herbal, and still.
Eucalyptus and wild mint give the scent its first breath: cool, green, and lightly medicinal without becoming sharp. Olive leaf and basil bring a fresh herbal body, while magnolia and peony soften the landscape with a pale powdery bloom. Beneath it, ylang ylang and sun-warmed brush create a gentle warmth, like dry green growth held close to the hillside.
It is not a dusty desert scent. It is chaparral after the heat has softened — green, aromatic, floral at the edges, and grounded by the quiet warmth of the land.

Made with an apricot, coconut, and soy wax blend for a clean, even burn and a medium–strong fragrance throw.

Our candles are paraffin-free and made without phthalates, sulfates, or parabens. Each fragrance is crafted with a considered blend of essential oils and high-quality synthetic fragrance components to create a balanced, lasting scent experience.

Finished with a 100% cotton wick for a steady, consistent burn.

Vegan. Cruelty-free. Designed for a cleaner burn without compromising depth, atmosphere, or performance.

To preserve the vessel, fragrance, and burn quality, trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch before each lighting. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the vessel, creating an even melt pool and helping prevent tunneling. Burn for 3–4 hours at a time and keep the candle on a stable, heat-safe surface away from drafts or flammable materials. With proper care, each Terraeum candle offers approximately 55–60 hours of burn time.

Discontinue use once the remaining wax reaches the base of the embossed “T” on the vessel, or when approximately ½ inch of wax remains.

I’d keep both the branded cue and the standard measurement. The “T” marker makes it feel custom to Terraeum, while the ½ inch gives customers a clear safety reference.

Breathe. Unwind.

Chaparral opens with a cool green breath. Eucalyptus leaf rises first, softened by wild mint and the quiet brightness of citron leaf. The effect is fresh and aromatic, but not sharp — like hillside air moving through dense green brush after the sun has warmed the leaves. As the candle burns, the scent becomes fuller and more herbal. Olive leaf and basil stem bring a silvery green texture, while magnolia petal begins to soften the composition with a pale floral warmth. The greenery feels alive, but controlled — less garden, more landscape. The base settles into a warm powdery green finish. Peony veil and ylang ylang give the scent a softened floral edge, while sun-warmed brush holds it close to the land. The result is an aromatic green floral shaped by dry hillside air: fresh at first, quietly warm as it opens, and grounded by the softness of the surrounding terrain.
